It is so true, "If walls could talk." We have so many different historic buildings in the great state of Maine, and especially in the old port. It would be amazing to be able to go back in time when the logging was going on right in downtown Portland and I believe the foreman was Mr. Tate who lived in the Tate house that I have had the opportunity to tour a few years back. I would like to do the Victoria mansion in the near future because I have been told that it is quite fascinating. Think of the blood, sweat and tears that went into building downtown Portland.
